Day 2: Exchanging cultures, learning experiences.

Today is the second day of our much anticipated seven-day trip. We kick-started the day by visiting Hong Kong's landmarks in Hong Kong Island, such as the Forever Blooming Golden Bauhina Sculpture, which was a gift from Mainland China to Hong Kong. The golden colour of the flower and the red colour of the stand was both favoured by the Chinese, and red symbolises prosperity. We also went to Repulse Bay and Aberdeen.

The main focus of our trip was the exchange programme with CCC Kei San Secondary School. After warm greetings between schools, we started the programme with our performance of Do Re Mi, My Favourite Things, and The Lonely Goatherd. After our performance, our host played three songs, one English (Hymn of Promise), and two Cantonese songs. Following their performance was a combined vocal practice with Ms Khor educating the host students and us to serve as an example to the students.

After our vocal practice was a guided trip around CCC KSSS with the students being paired with us, and then guiding us around the secondary school. The host students were hospitable in their efforts for the tour, being friendly in their communication, courteous in their guidance, and even though there was a significant language barrier they were willing to close and remove that barrier.

After the tour was a round of light refreshments of cookies and cake, followed by a round of goodbyes
